Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS) Residency Programs
Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS) is now calling for creators participating in two residency programs: «International Creator Residency Program (Individual Projects)» and «Research Residency Program.»
These Residency Programs provide great opportunities for international and local creators working in various fields to stay, engage in creation and conduct research activities in Tokyo.
*You may apply for both residency programs at the same time. Please fill in each of application forms and send them together.
[International Creator Residency Program (Individual Projects)]
Residency Period: 3 months in either of the following periods
(1) From the beginning of September to the end of November, 2021
(2) From the beginning of January to the end of March, 2022
Number of Creators: 4 in total (2 creators for each period)
Disciplines: Visual art, film, design and architecture
What TOKAS Residency offers: Airfare, living expenses (per diem), fee for creative work/project and living space (single room)
Studio/workspace: Shared studio
*Open call for the «International Creator Residency Program (Theme Projects)» will not be carried out for 2021, due to the postponement of the same program of 2020 to 2021, resulting from the pandemic of COVID-19.
[Research Residency Program]
Residency Period: 6 to 12 weeks within either of the following residency periods
(1) From the beginning of September to the end of November, 2021
(2) From the beginning of January to the end of March, 2022
Number of Creators: 10 (tentative)
Disciplines: Visual art, film, design, architecture, music, sound art, performing art and curation
What TOKAS Residency offers: Living space (single room)
Studio/workspace: None
