Become a Member

Artist-run centres are non-profit organizations, managed by a board of directors consisting mainly of artists, whose main activity is to foster research and the dissemination and production of work in the fields of visual arts, media arts, and interdisciplinary arts. They provide artists with spaces, equipment, services, research residencies, specialized resources, and offer the community activities such as exhibitions, conferences, debates, publications and documentation.

Information and networking

RCAAQ members have preferential access to tools and information through the portal’s extranet section and the monthly newsletter. The RCAAQ holds an annual general assembly as well as a discussion forum enabling members to share ideas and projects. Travel expenses are covered at a rate of 100% for regular members and 50% for associate members.

Representation

Moreover, the RCAAQ maintains close ties with other national organizations and groups in Quebec and Canada.
